Interview with Dr. Angela Morris

What do you teach?
I teach three courses: Social PolicyWomen and Race in Modern Britain, and a history course, Britain in the Modern Era.

How long have you been at Wroxton?
I’ve actually been at Wroxton now for 30 years! I just had my anniversary, which went a bit under the radar. I started on the 31st of August, 1995.

What’s your best Wroxton memory?
Too many to choose from! One that stands out is a parent who came up to me at Thanksgiving one year and thanked me for teaching his daughter. He said she had grown from a girl into a woman while at Wroxton. That meant a lot.

Is there a fun fact people don’t know about you?
A fun fact? I’m double-jointed. Not many people know that!

What is one “insider tip” you would like to share with future Wroxton students to help them prepare for the experience?
Lean into the experience and try to do as much as possible. Never again in your life will you have the opportunity to visit so many interesting places in such a short space of time. Blenheim Palace is a must as far as I’m concerned!

Why do you work at Wroxton (as opposed to anywhere else)?
Because it’s such a beautiful environment and there’s such a lovely team working here. The student body is terrific, and even though the building is always the same, the constant change of students keeps me on my toes!
